Tweedy, Browne Analysts

Our analysts are all highly trained and experienced investment professionals whose analytical skills are interchangeable with our Managing Directors. Most have been at Tweedy for the bulk of their careers. Historically, we have had great stability in our analytical team. The last analyst to leave the firm was in 2000. Excluding our two newest analysts, Sean McDonald and Dave Krasne, our seven remaining analysts have spent an average of 14 years employed by Tweedy, Browne Company LLC.

Olivier Berlage

Olivier Berlage joined the Investment Adviser in 2002 as an analyst and since then has been focusing on the Asia Pacific area. Prior to joining the Investment Adviser, he held positions with McKinsey & Co. in Brussels and Amsterdam and with NEC Corp in Tokyo. He received a M.E.E from the University of Tokyo and a Master in Management Science from the Solvay Business School in Brussels.

David Browne

David Browne, CFA has been associated with the Investment Adviser since 2005 and is a research analyst focusing on foreign securities. Prior to joining the Investment Adviser full time, he worked in the London research office in the summer of 2003. Mr. Browne received a B.A. from Colgate University, and graduated from the Tuck Business Bridge Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Roger R. de Bree

Roger R. de Bree has worked for Tweedy, Browne since 2000 and works in the firm's London research office as an analyst. Before joining Tweedy, Browne he worked at ABN AMRO Bank and MeesPierson Inc. He has a undergraduate degree in business administration from Nijenrode, the Netherlands School of Business in Breukelen, the Netherlands as well as a M.B.A. from IESE, University of Navarre in Barcelona, Spain.

Frank H. Hawrylak

Frank H. Hawrylak, CFA joined the Investment Adviser in 1986 and is a security analyst primarily focused on domestic equities. Prior to joining the Investment Adviser, he worked in the investment department at Royal Insurance. Mr. Hawrylak received a B.S. from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Jay Hill

Jay Hill, CFA has been associated with the Investment Adviser since 2003 and is an analyst at Tweedy, Browne Company LLC. Prior to joining the Investment Adviser, he held positions with Banc of America Securities LLC, Credit Lyonnais Securities (USA) Inc., and Providence Capital, Inc. He received a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University.

Laura Jereski

Laura Jereski has been an analyst with Tweedy, Browne Company LLC since 1998. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a financial reporter at The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and BusinessWeek. She received a B.A. from Harvard University.

Dave Krasne

Dave Krasne, CFA joined the Investment Adviser in 2009 as a research analyst. Previously, he held a research associate position at the Capital Group Companies. Mr. Krasne received a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Elliot H. Larner

Elliot H. Larner is an analyst and has been associated with the Investment Adviser since 1987. Prior to joining Tweedy, Browne, he held positions with Mutual of New York, T. Rowe Price and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. He received a B.A. from George Washington University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Sean McDonald

Sean McDonald, CFA joined the Investment Adviser in 2009 as an analyst focusing on emerging markets. Prior to joining Tweedy, Browne he worked for The Capital Group Companies, and held positions at Stonefield Josephson and Sanli Pastore & Hill. Mr. McDonald has an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
